ReplyDeleteYes. When I was in the Navy we created our own drinking water from the ocean using our on board distilling units. It pumped in sea water, turned it into drinking and showering water (potable water [not portable, potable]). Then the leftover saltiness (or brine) is pumped back into the ocean.
